Huntington Story

 Last Wednesday at 10pm, a 53 year old woman by the name of Janice Jones was shot in the leg by her pet dog Tombo.  "When I had learned what had happened at the scene, I was shocked. It's not everyday something like this happens," California Highway Patrol Press Liaison Tammy Rye says. A ccording to  Rye ,  Jones was eating pork chops in the back of her motor home, which was parked on Beach Boulevard near Highway 1 when her dog knocked her 9 mm handgun off a seat.  The weapon discharged when it hit the floor, and the bullet passed through Jone's leg and through the side of the vehicle according to Rye. "It could have been a lot worse," Rye said."The bullet hit two inches from the gas tank," she adds. If the bullet hit the gas tank, it could have exploded and resulting in many deaths. "When getting to the scene, Jones was laying on the floor in a puddle of blood, screaming," First Responder Nathan Riggs says.   Jones was transported
