2019 Reflection

I Like this picture because it captures the damage that the Amazon fires have done perfectly. I like how you can see the dead chopped up tree in the center and the foreground around it but you can also see the trees and smoke in the back.


In this picture I like how the infrastructure is very clear and you can see all the details but the people in the building are blurry.


I loved watching the Met Galla this year and Lady Ga Ga's outfit was defiantly one of my favorites. This picture really perfectly captures the layers of her outfit and the crew surrounding her.















Harry Styles's new album Fine Line was released late 2019 and it was, in my opinion, perfect. My favorite song from the album was falling. I really liked this song because of how soft acoustic it is. I could also relate to the lyrics of the song and every time I hear it I want to cry. This song was the best of 2019 because it was a very big deal for Styles's fans since he has not come out with much music since his split from the band One Direction. I feel he worked really hard on this album and song and it paid off.


I chose Five Feet Apart as the best movie of 2019 because it really showed us the life and struggles of someone with Cystic Fibrosis which many if us didn't know much about. It was able to use emotion and knowledge to draw in viewers and become very successful. This movie attracted me to choose it as the best movie of 2019 because it made me cry a lot and really helped me learn about a disease I pretty much knew nothing about. I also really love romances and this movie showed the love story of two people who couldn't touch each other which I think is really interesting.


I chose The Deadly Shooting in El Paso, Texas as the most important story of 2019 because it was a story and an event that was in our Texas area and really meant something to communities here in Texas. The shooting left many dead and many more injured. My dad grew up in El Paso having a lot of friends and family there was very scary and scared me. what if this happened here in Austin. I think it was very important for the world to here this story so they can learn from it and it shows how easily people can die with one gun in the wrong hands.


I chose Greta Thunberg as the most important person of 2019 because she has raised a lot of awareness and money towards Climate Change and just at the age of 16. I think that is really cool and inspirational because i'm also a teenager. She has accomplished so much already including becoming Time Magazines Person, getting a Nobel Peace Prize and many more amazing awards. The amount of awareness she has raised is outstanding and mind blowing.


I chose Disney + as the biggest entertainment story of 2019 because it changed television forever. Disney + is a entertainment platform that has every show/movie made by Disney with a few new originals. Now you are able to take you're favorite movies and tv shows with you wherever you go. I think this was bigger for the older generation and teenagers to be able to re visit their favorite movies and tv shows from their childhood. But this is also an amazing new app for children as they can now watch their shows on something other than the tv.  Disney + also has films made by Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic making it a big hit for people of all ages. I've really enjoyed re- watching all my favorite shows and movies while also really enjoying the new originals Disney + has made. I believe it is well worth the money and was really important to 2019.

My Winter Break:

1. One thing that happened over the holidays that I will remember forever is being able to sleep. Catching up on sleep and staying in bed till noon has been the best thing about the break.

2. My resolutions for 2020 are too stop procrastinating so much and do my work when I have the time too. I also want to be more active, take more dance classes and keep on running in the morning.

3. In 2020 I am looking forward to getting my driver's permit. I'm also excited to go on all the summer trips my family has planned and just hang out with my friends.
