Photo Manipulation and and Ethics
A. A few points I read about in the article is that photo editing software now can help fix and make a photo look better in a matter of seconds compared to the hours it used to. But it's an issue of keeping the image true to it's original self. We want to make pictures ethical and perfect but we have to careful that we are not twisting the pictures too much and not showing the readers the true images. Hiding the truth and shielding the eyes of readers can come with great consequences.
B. Newspapers like the New York Times and TheWashington post have many rules and regulations when it comes to altering and manipulating posts that are very strict. An example of this can be The Charlotte Observer's policy thats states no photo should be altered of it's original color.
C. Acceptable things you can do to an image without crossing the line unto an unethical manipulation is editing a photo to make it seem brighter and more clear. You can make a certain thing look better without twisting and changing it just by fixing the photo like fixing someone's red eyes or a glair on a sign.

In my opinion this was the most unethical picture that I saw because they edited someones body to look different than the boy actually does just to fit beauty standards that people have for her. They are shielding the eyes of the readers from the truth and are basically manipulating the readers to think this id her real body. If I was really proud to be in a magazine and then saw how someone manipulated my body in the image to be different than it actually is it would make be feel insecure and like my original self wasn't good enough. Especially as a woman who has so many others look up to her, she should feel comfortable in her body and show others to be comfortable in their bodies too.

In my opinion this was the least unethical photo because the having the horse wrangler in the photo really didn't matter. The photo could have been taken without the person in it and it would mean nothing since the additional person doesn't bring any meaning into the photo. I don't think people would have cared either if the person was there and wouldn't really see the man riding the horse any less powerful and heroic.
